Hinge Pin Restoration Kit for both Domes on Post 96 Aga range cookers

The Post 96 Aga range cooker has a hinge spring in each lid which can be replaced individually but it's sensible to change the other parts that wear at the same time. We are therefore offering a complet kit to restore both domes on your Aga range cooker.

Note if NO spring is fitted to your chrome lid Aga range cooker (1954-1996) these will NOT fit.

The design of the pointed pin retainers wears and so we are offering a complete set to refurbish both lids. This consists of:

• 2 off A3283 M10 GRUB SCREWS FOR SPINDLE END
• 2 off  A3117 10MM LID SPRINGS
• 2 off A4101 LID ADJUSTMENT PLUGS, screwdriver slot

Fitting instructions for this kit is as follows.
Tools needed - set metric allen keys, slotted screwdriver, optional copper slip or similar grease.

With the Aga cold, using an allen drive undo the 10mm grub screw on the end of the hinge block, and remove the 2 smaller grub screws from the front of the hinge block. Push the spindle through and lift off the dome. Note which way around the spring fits! Remove the screwdriver slotted pointed pin.

Refit ideally greasing the grub screws with copper slip (or similar). Tighten the grub screws to give the lid an easy lift without being too loose. They can be re-tightened as wear occurs.
