Eurosit 630 Gas Valve (Bare)

This valve is the bare valve without cover and igniter or jets. You can reuse the removable by pass  jet from your old 630 valve (it screws in the TOP adjacent to the knob). The the plastic cream cover and piezo igniter can also be changed over or we sell these here and here.  You also reconnect your existing spark cable and thermocouple.

This valve is INSIDE the door so if your gas valve is SIDE MOUNTED outside the cooker it's not this type! If you are not sure if this is the correct one for your cooker send us a photo BEFORE purchase and we will identify your current one. This type and make of valve was fitted on Gas and LPG Aga range cookers for several years but is now superseded by a different valve.
 
It has 2 faults which can make replacement necessary. Firstly excess heat causes the valve to dry out and the plastic components to get brittle and fail - notably the piezo spark generator and the cream cover. To reduce this the factory fitted a metal heat shield behind the valve. Secondly the knob has a plunger made of plastic which snaps off if the knob isn't allowed to fully lift off BEFORE turning. If it is just the knob you need we offer it here.

Please note this valve works on LPG or NATURAL GAS and the burner is governed by pressure and bypass jet size.

Note this should only be fitted by a Gas Safe registered qualified gas engineer who can check and adjust the gas pressure.
