This electric fan will expel the fumes from your OIL cooker, providing its powered by electricity or has a solenoid fitted in the oil inlet pipe. It works by creating a settable flue draft - adjusted by simple screwdriver on fitting - and will continue to work until the cooker is switched off. Ideal for THATCHED COTTAGES or house where planning permission has been denied for a chimney or stainless flue as this stainless steel box doesn't break the roof line. The photograph for this listing is of a Powerflue fitted on an Snughome oil fired Aga where a chimney would have been far too short. Can ONLY be used on a burner that switches off in the event of a power cut - so a wick burner Aga range cooker or Rayburn range cooker would need a solenoid valve (gate type) fitting in the pipeline to switch OFF the oil in the event of a power cut. MUST be relit manually after power returns. Only a 5amp supply needed, has pressure switch to activate appliance when draft is sufficient - so inherently safe. No power- no fan- no cooker! To install we recommend a 3ft vertical pipe off Aga range cooker, swept 90o bend, then pipe through wall horizontally. The power flue box can be mounted lower if a chip pan grill type cover is fitted. We can supply these as an optional extra. We can also supply a Solenoid valve to go on 8 or 10mm oil lines. Size approximately 2ft square, power used 5amp. Please note these are made to order with a lead time of 7 to 10 days. Supplied pre-wired. It is also fitted with an overrun timer and battery back up as a safety feature - in the event of a power cut this keeps the gases escaping for up to 20 minutes. Should you wish to add a swept bend please choose the relevant option below.
PLEASE contact us PRIOR to ordering so we can be sure to supply what is correct for your application.
